SBCC Customer Service Graduation
The Professional Development Center of Santa Barbara City College was joined by the Workforce Investment Board and presented Certificates of Recognition to the nine graduates of the Customer Service Institute.
The Customer Service Institute is the first American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funded group-size training program to be implemented in the County. Dr. Diane Hollems, Dean of Economic Development and Sue Larson, Vice-Chair of the Workforce Investment Board spoke about the importance of group-size training and on the collaboration of community colleges and the Workforce Investment Board.
The Customer Service Institute’s first graduating class participated in eight classes over a period of five weeks and received college credit for the classes. Graduates have enhanced their marketable job skills and will be recognized for their efforts.
